Bitcoin Police's main objective is investigating incidents with the bitcoin system, we use all sorts of information to try and piece together what has happened during a particular event, emails, forum posts, domain details etc. We use everyones information to get a larger picture of what has happened after an event has occured, being that a hacking, or someone running off with coins.
